Ingredients

  • Pasta shells: 250 grams (about 8 ounces)
  • Canned tuna: One can (about 400 grams, drained)
  • Cherry tomatoes: 200 grams (about 1 cup, halved)
  • Red onion: One small, finely chopped
  • Cucumber: One medium, diced
  • Black olives: 100 grams (about 1/2 cup, sliced)
  • Mayonnaise: 150 grams (about 2/3 cup)
  • Lemon juice: Two tablespoons of freshly squeezed
  • Salt and pepper: to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. Prepare the vegetables: chop the red onion, dice the cucumber, halve the cherry tomatoes, and slice the black olives.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, drained tuna, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, and black olives.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise and lemon juice, then season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour the dressing over the salad, mix gently, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
