Description
Triple Berry Crisp is a delicious dessert made with strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, topped with a crunchy, golden crisp topping. Perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
Scale
- For the Berry Filling:
- 2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
- 1 cup raspberries, fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- For the Crisp Topping:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the berries and combine them in a large mixing bowl with sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Toss gently and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add the cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add chopped nuts if desired.
- Spread the berry mixture evenly into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the crisp topping generously over the berries.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the berries are bubbling and the topping is golden brown. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the sugar according to the sweetness of your berries.
- Don’t overmix the topping; mix just until combined for better texture.
- Allow the dish to cool for a few minutes to help the berry juices thicken.
