Ingredients

  • Ziti pasta: 400 grams (about 14 oz)
  • Marinara sauce: 500 grams (about 2 cups)
  • Ricotta cheese: 250 grams (about 1 cup)
  • Mozzarella cheese: 300 grams, shredded (about 3 cups)
  • Parmesan cheese: 100 grams, grated (about 1 cup)
  • Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
  • Fresh basil: 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper: to taste
  • Salt: to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta in salted boiling water for 8-10 minutes until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella, half of the grated Parmesan, and chopped fresh basil.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic for about a minute. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes, seasoning with salt and black pepper.
  5. Add cooked ziti pasta and cheese mixture to the skillet, stirring until well combined.
