Description

Strawberry Tiramisu is a fresh and fruity twist on the classic Italian dessert, replacing coffee with strawberry jam and featuring layers of mascarpone cream, ladyfingers soaked in a strawberry-flavored mixture, and topped with freeze-dried strawberries for a light, creamy, and vibrant dessert perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
  • 6 cups heavy cream, divided
  • 16 ounces mascarpone cheese, at room temperature
  • 48 ladyfingers
  • 2/3 cup triple sec (or a strawberry-flavored liqueur)
  • 1 (13 ounces) jar strawberry jam
  • 3 tablespoons crushed freeze-dried strawberries

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine confectioners’ sugar and 3 cups heavy cream. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until medium peaks form (about 3 minutes).
  2. Add mascarpone cheese and continue beating until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a shallow dish, mix remaining 3 cups heavy cream with triple sec until well combined.
  4. Dip each ladyfinger into the cream and liqueur mixture for about 30 seconds, then layer them evenly in a 13 x 9-inch dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  6. Spread a generous layer of strawberry jam over the mascarpone layer.
  7. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers.
  8. Top with the remaining mascarpone mixture, smoothing it out evenly.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours to allow flavors to meld and dessert to set.
  10. Just before serving, sprinkle crushed freeze-dried strawberries on top for added flavor and presentation.

Notes

  • Do not over-soak ladyfingers to avoid mushy layers.
  • Allow enough chilling time (minimum 3 hours, preferably overnight) for the best texture and flavor.
  • Use room temperature mascarpone for easier mixing and creamier texture.
  • High-quality ingredients will enhance flavor significantly.
  • Optional: fold fresh strawberry pieces into mascarpone for extra fruitiness.
  • Substitute triple sec with other fruit liqueurs or a water-strawberry jam mix for non-alcoholic version.
  • Freeze-dried strawberries should be added just before serving if freezing the dessert.
