Description

Strawberry-Pretzel Tart is a vibrant, sweet and salty dessert made with a buttery pretzel crust, creamy filling, and fresh strawberry topping.

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons Strawberry Jell-O mix
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Press into a 10-inch tart pan. Bake for 8 minutes. Cool completely.
  2. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined. Add heavy cream and beat until medium peaks form.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  4. In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup sugar, water, and cornstarch. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and stir in Strawberry Jell-O mix. Cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Arrange sliced strawberries over the cream layer. Pour cooled Jell-O mixture evenly over strawberries.
  6. Refrigerate the tart for at least 2 to 12 hours until set.
