  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and lemon zest. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped strawberries and fresh lemon juice.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
