Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs pork ribs
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Rinse the pork ribs under cold water and pat them dry.
- Remove the tough membrane from the back of the ribs if necessary.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, and salt.
- Place the ribs in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Remove the ribs from the marinade and place them on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover with another piece of foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
- Remove the top layer of foil, brush the reserved marinade over the ribs, and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, basting with the marinade every 5 minutes.
- Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a spicier flavor, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Use fresh ingredients for the best results.
- Consider alternative cooking methods like grilling or using a slow cooker.
