- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter
- 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (90 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (150 g) chocolate chips (optional)
- 1 cup (240 ml) white frosting
- Candy eyeballs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan, then stir in the granulated sugar and let cool. Whisk in the eggs and vanilla.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, then combine with the wet ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
- Let the brownies cool, then frost with white frosting and decorate with candy eyeballs.
