- 8 ounces dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces white chocolate, chopped
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional, for smoothness)
Instructions
- Prepare the tart crust by mixing flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in egg yolk and ice water until dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Make the chocolate filling by simmering heavy cream, then adding chopped dark chocolate until smooth.
- Whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla, then combine with the chocolate mixture.
- Roll out the chilled dough and fit it into a tart pan. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the crust with weights for 15 minutes, then remove weights and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled crust and bake for 20-25 minutes until set but jiggly.
- Cool the tart completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Melt white chocolate and pipe a spider web design on top of the tart.
- Slice and serve chilled on a black plate for presentation.

- Do not overbake the chocolate filling; it should be slightly jiggly.
