- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup (170 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup (90 g) white chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×9 inch (23×23 cm) baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter and stir in the granulated sugar. Allow to cool slightly before adding eggs and vanilla extract.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Let the brownies cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Melt the white chocolate chips and drizzle over the brownies in a spider web pattern.
- Let the white chocolate set, then cut the brownies into bite-sized squares and decorate with candy spiders and optional chocolate shavings.
