Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1–2 tablespoons cold water

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup apricot preserves
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Prepare the tart crust by mixing flour, powdered sugar, and salt, then adding cold butter until crumbly. Add cold water gradually to form a dough, wrap, and chill for 30 minutes.
- Make the filling by combining cranberries, sliced pears, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, melted butter, and vanilla in a bowl.
- Prepare the pears by peeling, coring, and slicing them into thin pieces.
- Roll out the chilled dough to fit a 9-inch tart pan, transfer it, and prick the bottom with a fork.
- Pour the cranberry and pear mixture into the pre-baked tart crust and spread evenly.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until cranberries burst and pears are tender.
- Allow the tart to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Choose ripe but firm pears for the best texture.
- Adjust spice levels according to personal preference.
- Consider variations like nut crusts or different fruits for a unique twist.
