Ingredients
- All-purpose flour: 2 cups (240 g)
- Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
- Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Ground nutmeg: 1/2 teaspoon
- Granulated sugar: 3/4 cup (150 g)
- Brown sugar: 1/4 cup (50 g), packed
- Eggs: 2 large
- Milk: 1/2 cup (120 ml)
- Grated apple: 1 cup (about 1 medium apple)
- Vegetable oil: 1/4 cup (60 ml), plus more for frying
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Whisk until well mixed.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add the milk and vegetable oil. Mix until fully combined.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the grated apple.
- Lightly grease a donut pan and fill each cavity about halfway with the batter.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Glaze or dust as desired.
