- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups M&M candies
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Fold in the M&M candies.
- Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared pan, smoothing the top. Optionally, sprinkle extra M&Ms on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before lifting from the pan and cooling completely.
Notes
- Don’t overmix the dough to avoid tough bars.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes for a softer texture.
- Use room-temperature butter and eggs for a smoother batter.
