Description

S’mores Rice Krispie Treats combine crispy rice cereal, toasted marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate for a nostalgic, gooey, and crunchy dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 (10-ounce) bags miniature marshmallows, divided (5 ounces for toasting, 5 ounces for mixing)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 7 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups graham crackers, broken into small pieces
  • 3 Hershey’s milk chocolate bars, broken into pieces
  • Optional: 1–2 Hershey’s milk chocolate bars, melted for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven broiler on high for 5 minutes. Line baking sheet with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Spread 5 ounces marshmallows in a single layer and broil until toasted golden brown. Remove and cool.
  2. Line 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  3. Melt butter over medium heat in a large pot. Add remaining 5 ounces marshmallows and stir until smooth. Remove from heat, add vanilla extract and salt.
  4. Fold in crispy rice cereal and graham cracker pieces gently until mostly combined. Let cool slightly, then fold in toasted marshmallows and chocolate pieces.
  5. Transfer mixture to prepared pan and spread evenly with a greased spatula, pressing gently but not too tightly.
  6. Let set at room temperature for at least 1 hour.
  7. Optional: Melt 1–2 chocolate bars and drizzle over treats. Refrigerate 15–20 minutes to set chocolate.
  8. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
