- 4 cups green cabbage: Chopped, about half a medium head.
- 1 medium onion: Sliced thinly.
- 1 bell pepper: Sliced, any color.
- 3 cloves garlic: Minced.
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce: Low-sodium for a healthier choice.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil: For cooking.
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper: For seasoning.
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes: Adjust to taste.
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients: slice sausage, chop cabbage, slice onion and bell pepper, and mince garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and cook the sausage for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Add sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Stir in chopped cabbage and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender but still crunchy.
- Return the cooked sausage to the skillet, add soy sauce, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, and stir well.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through, then serve warm.
