Description

A delicious recipe for salmon cakes that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, packed with flavor and nutrients.

Ingredients

  • Fresh salmon: 1 lb (about 450 g), skinless and boneless
  • Breadcrumbs: 1 cup (about 100 g)
  • Green onions: 1/4 cup, finely chopped
  • Fresh dill: 2 tablespoons, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried dill)
  • Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons, freshly squeezed
  • Eggs: 2 large
  • Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salmon by cooking it until fully cooked, then flake it into small pieces.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flaked salmon with breadcrumbs, green onions, dill, lemon juice, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick.
  4. Chill the patties in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

  • Chilling the patties helps them hold their shape during cooking.
  • Avoid overcrowding the pan while cooking for even results.
  • Feel free to customize with optional ingredients for added flavor.
