Description

Rocket Jell-O Shots are colorful, layered gelatin treats with a fun boozy twist, perfect for parties and celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 box instant blueberry Jell-O
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 box instant cherry Jell-O
  • 1 envelope gelatin
  • 1 cup milk (divided)
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • Cooking spray (for shot glasses)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup boiling water and blueberry Jell-O. Stir until dissolved, then mix in 1/2 cup vodka. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, combine 1/2 cup boiling water and cherry Jell-O. Stir until dissolved. Let cool and set aside.
  3. Sprinkle gelatin over 1/4 cup milk in a bowl. Let bloom.
  4. In a saucepan, heat the remaining 3/4 cup milk until simmering. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, vanilla extract, and 1/2 cup vodka.
  5. Combine the hot milk mixture with the gelatin mixture. Stir until gelatin dissolves. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  6. Lightly spray 20 two-ounce plastic shot glasses with cooking spray.
  7. Pour 1 tablespoon of the blueberry Jell-O into each glass. Chill for 15 minutes until set but not firm.
  8. Add 1 tablespoon of the white gelatin mixture on top of the blueberry layer. Chill for 10 minutes.
  9. Top with 1 tablespoon of cherry Jell-O. Chill for 2 hours or until firm.

Notes

  • Let each layer cool slightly before pouring to prevent mixing layers.
  • Do not freeze Jell-O shots as it affects the texture.
  • You can customize with different flavors or non-alcoholic alternatives.
  • Use high-quality vodka for a better taste experience.
