Instructions
- Prepare the dough by whisking together the dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
- Cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended, then fold in the pumpkin puree.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, shaping them into ghost shapes if desired.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Mix powdered sugar with milk to create icing, then decorate cooled cookies with icing and black icing for eyes and mouths.
