Description

Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Chip Blondies are a delightful twist on traditional blondies, combining warm pumpkin spice flavors with rich chocolate chips for a soft, chewy dessert perfect for fall.

Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter: 1 cup (227 grams), melted
  • Brown sugar: 1 cup (220 grams), packed
  • Granulated sugar: 1/2 cup (100 grams)
  • Eggs: 2 large
  • Vanilla extract: 2 teaspoons
  • All-purpose flour: 2 cups (240 grams)
  • Pumpkin puree: 1 cup (240 grams)
  • Pumpkin spice: 2 teaspoons
  • Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chocolate chips: 1 cup (170 grams), semi-sweet or dark

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract and pumpkin puree.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, pumpkin spice, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Use 100% pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • Adjust spice levels to your preference.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
