Ingredients
- Unsalted butter: 1 cup (227 grams), melted
- Brown sugar: 1 cup (220 grams), packed
- Granulated sugar: 1/2 cup (100 grams)
- Eggs: 2 large
- Vanilla extract: 2 teaspoons
- All-purpose flour: 2 cups (240 grams)
- Pumpkin puree: 1 cup (240 grams)
- Pumpkin spice: 2 teaspoons
- Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Chocolate chips: 1 cup (170 grams), semi-sweet or dark
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract and pumpkin puree.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, pumpkin spice, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Use 100% pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
