  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, and orange juice; mix well.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes. Cover with foil halfway to prevent excess browning. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  6. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
