  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Mix flour and sugar, cut in softened butter until it resembles coarse crumbs. Press into the prepared baking dish and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt. Stir in chopped pecans.
  4. Pour the filling over the baked crust and spread evenly. Return to oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the filling is set and firm.
  5. Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares.
