- 1 and 1/3 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 and 1/4 cups creamy peanut butter
- 6 ounces semi-sweet, bittersweet, or milk chocolate
- 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until combined.
- Press the mixture into a 9-inch tart pan, pressing firmly into the base and up the sides.
- Bake for 13–15 minutes until the edges are lightly browned. Remove and let cool for 15 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until smooth. Add confectioners sugar, vanilla, and salt, and beat until just combined.
- Add 1 and 1/4 cups peanut butter and mix on low speed until smooth and fully incorporated.
- Spread the peanut butter filling evenly over the cooled crust.
- Melt the chocolate and remaining 3 tablespoons peanut butter in a saucepan or microwave until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer and smooth with a spatula.
- Refrigerate uncovered for 4 to 6 hours until set.
- Slice and serve chilled. Optionally garnish with crushed peanuts or sea salt.
Notes
- Do not overbake the crust; it should be just lightly browned.
- Soften butter to room temperature for smoother filling.
- Allow enough chilling time for clean slicing and proper setting.
- Substitute graham crackers with Oreos or almond flour for variation.
- Tart can be made ahead and stored in the fridge up to 1 week.
