- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 and 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate bars, coarsely chopped
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (optional)
- Sprinkles for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Beat softened butter with a mixer until creamy, about 2 minutes. Add peanut butter and mix for 1 minute.
- Gradually mix in confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and salt on low speed for 2 minutes.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.
- Chill the peanut butter balls in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Melt chocolate and vegetable oil in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each chilled peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate and tap to remove excess.
- Sprinkle toppings on while chocolate is wet and place back on the baking sheet.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes until chocolate sets.
- Serve and enjoy.
