Description
Peach Crisp is a delightful summer dessert with juicy peaches and a crunchy oat topping, perfect for family gatherings or after-dinner indulgence.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced (about 6 cups)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel, pit, and slice the peaches. Toss them with sugar and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Transfer the peaches to a 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading them evenly.
- In another bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add melted butter and stir until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the oat topping over the peaches evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the juices are bubbling. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe peaches for the best flavor and texture.
- For a dairy-free option, substitute coconut oil or plant-based butter for the butter.
- Be careful not to overbake, as it may dry out the topping.
