Ingredients
- Brioche bread: 8 thick slices (about 1 inch thick)
- Eggs: 4 large
- Heavy cream: 1 cup (240 ml)
- Milk: 1 cup (240 ml)
- Vanilla extract: 2 teaspoons
- Brown sugar: 1/2 cup (100 g), packed
- Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
- Granulated sugar: for caramelizing the top (about 1/4 cup or 50 g)
Instructions
- Prepare the brioche bread by arranging 8 thick slices in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Make the custard mixture by whisking together eggs, heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Pour the custard mixture evenly over the prepared brioche slices, ensuring each slice is well soaked.
- Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours.

- Experiment with different toppings like fresh berries, whipped cream, or nuts.
