Description
A delightful dish that combines flavor and health, featuring salmon coated in a sweet and tangy orange glaze.
Ingredients
- Fresh Orange Juice: 1/2 cup
- Soy Sauce: 1/4 cup
- Honey: 2 tablespoons
- Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger: 1 tablespoon, grated
- Salmon Fillets: 4 pieces
- Salt: to taste
- Pepper: to taste
- Sesame Seeds: for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade by whisking together fresh orange juice, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a medium bowl.
- Marinate the salmon fillets in the mixture for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or olive oil.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on the baking sheet, skin-side down. Season with salt and pepper, then bake for 12-15 minutes.
- While the salmon bakes, simmer the reserved marinade in a saucepan until it thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
- Brush the thickened glaze over the salmon and return it to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes to caramelize.
- Let the salmon rest for a minute, then garnish with sesame seeds and serve warm with your choice of sides.
Notes
- Ensure not to overcook the salmon to keep it moist.
- Marinating is essential for flavor; do not skip this step.
- Use high-quality ingredients for the best results.
