- Zest of 1 lemon: This will brighten the dish and add a zesty kick.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil: For sautéing and adding richness.
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes: Adjust to taste for a bit of heat.
- 1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese: This will enhance the flavor and create a light sauce.
- Salt and pepper: To taste, ensuring the dish is well-seasoned.

Instructions
- Gather your ingredients to ensure a smooth cooking process.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and cook the Italian sausage until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes to the pot. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped broccoli rabe and cook for a couple of minutes until it starts to soften.
- Pour in 4 cups of water and a pinch of salt, then add the pasta. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook until al dente, stirring occasionally.
- Once the pasta is nearly done, return the sausage to the pot, add lemon zest and grated Parmesan cheese, and stir to combine. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Serve the pasta in bowls, topped with burrata cheese and a drizzle of fresh lemon juice if desired.
