- ½ cup Nutella (plus extra for swirling)
- Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin by greasing it or lining with muffin liners.
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk well.
- In another bowl, whisk together egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until combined. Fold in Nutella, keeping some aside for swirling.
- Fill each muffin cup two-thirds full, adding a spoonful of Nutella into the center and topping with the remaining batter to create a swirl effect.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
