For the frosting:

  • Unsalted butter: ½ cup (115 g), softened
  • Powdered sugar: 2 cups (240 g)
  • Black licorice extract: 2 teaspoons (10 ml)
  • Heavy cream: 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
  • Black food coloring: as needed (optional)
  • Edible silver pearls: for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. Sift together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
