Mounds cake is a delicious chocolate and coconut dessert that resembles the classic candy bar.

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup chocolate frosting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add butter, eggs, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in shredded coconut.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Frost with chocolate frosting before serving.
