For the lavender glaze, you will need:
- 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon culinary lavender
- A few drops of purple food coloring (optional)
For garnish:
- Additional powdered sugar
- Fresh lavender sprigs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease the madeleine pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and matcha powder.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until frothy, then add melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients gently.
- Fill each shell cavity of the madeleine pan about 3/4 full with the batter.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and springy.
- Cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
