Instructions
- Select firm, ripe cherry tomatoes, avoiding any that are soft or blemished.
- Prepare the marinade by whisking together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Add rinsed cherry tomatoes to the marinade and gently toss to coat.
- Tear fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl, tossing gently again.
- Cover the bowl and let the tomatoes marinate at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate for a few hours or overnight for more flavor.
- Serve the marinated cherry tomatoes in a rustic bowl, drizzling any remaining marinade over the top.
