Instructions

  1. Select firm, ripe cherry tomatoes, avoiding any that are soft or blemished.
  2. Prepare the marinade by whisking together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add rinsed cherry tomatoes to the marinade and gently toss to coat.
  4. Tear fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl, tossing gently again.
  5. Cover the bowl and let the tomatoes marinate at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate for a few hours or overnight for more flavor.
