- 1 cup (120 g) walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) pure maple syrup (for glaze)
- 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream the melted butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts and drizzle in a bit of maple syrup if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the blondies cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
