Ingredients

- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon (3 g)
- Unsalted butter: 1/2 cup (113 g), cold and cubed
- Heavy cream: 1/4 cup (60 ml), plus more for brushing
- Maple syrup: 1/4 cup (60 ml)
- Powdered sugar: 1 cup (120 g)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the pumpkin puree and heavy cream together, then pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and pat it down into a circle about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick.
- Cut the circle into 8 equal wedges and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches (5 cm) apart.
- Brush the tops of the scones with additional heavy cream and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
