  • Eggs: 2 large
  • Baking powder: 2 teaspoons (10 g)
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon (5 ml)
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon (2 g)
  • Salt: 1/2 teaspoon (3 g)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the streusel topping by combining 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of chopped pecans with 1/4 cup of softened butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Cream together the remaining 1/2 cup of softened butter and 1 cup of brown sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the maple syrup.
