Ingredients
- Rolled oats: 2 cups (about 180 g)
- Maple syrup: 1/2 cup (about 120 ml)
- Brown sugar: 1/2 cup (packed, about 100 g)
- Butter: 1/2 cup (unsalted, about 115 g, melted)
- All-purpose flour: 1 cup (about 120 g)
- Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the melted butter and maple syrup into the bowl with the dry ingredients.
- Mix everything together until the oats are evenly coated and the mixture is crumbly.
- Press about two-thirds of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the baked base, press down gently, and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the bars cool completely on a wire rack before cutting them into squares or rectangles.
