Ingredients
- Pumpkin puree: 1 cup (canned or homemade)
- All-purpose flour: 1 ½ cups
- Brown sugar: 1 cup, packed
- Eggs: 2 large
- Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Ground nutmeg: ½ teaspoon
- Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
- Baking soda: ½ teaspoon
- Salt: ½ teaspoon
- Maple syrup: ½ cup
- Unsalted butter: ½ cup (1 stick), melted
- Powdered sugar: 1 cup (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the wet ingredients: pumpkin puree, melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and maple syrup. Whisk until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- While the bars are baking, prepare the maple glaze by mixing powdered sugar with maple syrup until smooth.
- Once the bars are cooled, drizzle the maple glaze over the top.
