Mango Sago is a refreshing Southeast Asian dessert featuring ripe mangoes, chewy tapioca pearls, and creamy coconut milk served chilled.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 g small tapioca pearls
  • 600 g mango chunks (about 5 small mangoes)
  • 400 g coconut milk (1 can)
  • 50 g sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil, add tapioca pearls, stir to prevent clumping, simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Turn off heat, cover, and let pearls rest for 10 minutes until translucent.
  3. Drain tapioca pearls using a fine sieve, rinse under cold water to stop cooking.
  4. In a blender, combine mango chunks, coconut milk, and condensed milk; blend until smooth.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more condensed milk and blending again.
  6. Pour mango mixture into a large bowl, add drained tapioca pearls, and gently stir to combine.
  7. Chill mango sago in the refrigerator before serving.
