A delicious low carb pizza casserole that combines all the flavors of pizza into a hearty dish, perfect for family dinners or meal prep.
Ingredients
- Ground turkey: 1 lb (450 g)
- Marinara sauce: 2 cups (480 ml)
- Mozzarella cheese: 2 cups, shredded (about 200 g)
- Bell peppers: 1 cup, diced
- Onion: 1 medium, diced
- Italian seasoning: 2 teaspoons
- Black olives: 1/2 cup, sliced
- Pepperoni: 1 cup, sliced
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
- Salt and pepper: to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté diced onions and bell peppers for 3-4 minutes. Add ground turkey, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until browned (7-10 minutes).
- Stir in marinara sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the turkey mixture, half of the mozzarella cheese, black olives, and pepperoni.
- Pour the remaining turkey mixture over the cheese layer and top with the rest of the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and olives. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
