Description

Instructions

  1. Place 15 chocolate chip cookies in a large resealable bag and crush into fine crumbs with a rolling pin. Reserve a small amount of crumbs for decoration.
  2. Transfer most crumbs into a large liquid measuring cup, pour 3 cups heavy cream over, stir gently, and let sit 10 minutes to infuse flavor.
  3. Strain the cream mixture through a fine strainer into a large bowl, discarding the cookie bits.
  4. In a separate large bowl, beat softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until fluffy, about 1 minute.
  5. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth and combined.
  6. Gradually add the strained cookie-infused cream to the cream cheese mixture, beating until soft peaks form.
  7. Spread a thin layer of whipped cream mixture on a serving plate to form the base.
  8. Arrange 8 cookies in a circle and 3 in the center on top of the cream layer.
  9. Spread another layer of whipped cream over the cookies.
  10. Continue layering cookies and cream, offsetting cookie placement on each layer, until 6 layers are formed, finishing with a cream layer.
  11. Sprinkle reserved crushed cookies on top for decoration.
  12. Wrap loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 6 hours to chill and set.
