- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- If making homemade basil pesto, blend fresh basil leaves, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil until smooth.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the seasoned chicken breasts for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds, then add grape tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Return the seared chicken to the skillet, spoon basil pesto over each breast, and bake in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.
