- 200 grams digestive biscuits (or graham crackers)
- 100 grams unsalted butter, melted
- 300 grams dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 50 grams granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Sea salt, for garnish
- Chocolate shavings, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Crush the digestive biscuits until they resemble fine crumbs and mix with melted butter.
- Press the biscuit mixture into a tart pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine chopped dark chocolate and heavy cream over low heat until melted and smooth.
- Let the chocolate mixture cool slightly, then whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
- Gradually pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture while whisking constantly.
- Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled tart crust and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the tart cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, garnish with sea salt and chocolate shavings.
