- In a large mixing bowl, whip 3/4 cup heavy cream with 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar using a hand mixer on medium-high speed until medium peaks form. Set aside.
- Scoop vanilla ice cream into six serving bowls or dessert cups.
- Drizzle warm hot fudge sauce over each scoop of ice cream.
- Top each sundae with whipped cream, then sprinkle with optional rainbow sprinkles and crushed peanuts.
- Finish each sundae with a maraschino cherry on top. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use finely chopped chocolate for a smoother fudge sauce.
- Add a splash of vanilla extract to the fudge for extra flavor.
- Do not overwhip the cream; aim for medium peaks.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the contrast of hot fudge and cold ice cream.
