A rich and flavorful turkey stock perfect for soups and sauces.
Ingredients
- Turkey bones – 2 pounds
- Water – 12 cups
- Carrots – 2, chopped
- Celery – 2 stalks, chopped
- Onion – 1, quartered
- Garlic – 4 cloves, crushed
- Bay leaves – 2
- Thyme – 1 teaspoon, dried
- Parsley – 1/4 cup, fresh
Instructions
- Place turkey bones in a large stockpot.
- Add water, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaves, thyme, and parsley.
- Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3-4 hours.
- Skim off any foam that rises to the surface.
- Strain the stock through a fine-mesh sieve into another pot.
- Let cool and store in airtight containers.
Notes
- Use leftover turkey bones for added flavor.
- Store stock in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
- Adjust seasoning according to taste.
