Ingredients

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until the mixture melts and begins to boil.
- Continue boiling without stirring until it reaches 245°F (118°C).
- Remove from heat and carefully stir in cream, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour into a greased pan and let it cool completely.
- Once set, cut into squares.
Notes
- Use a candy thermometer for best results.
- Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
- For a twist, add sea salt on top before it cools.
