Description

A quick and delicious garlic butter sausage pasta recipe that combines rich flavors of garlic and butter with savory Italian sausage, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 300 grams (10.5 oz) pasta: Spaghetti or fettuccine works best.
  • 250 grams (9 oz) Italian sausage: Choose between mild or spicy based on your taste.
  • 4 cloves garlic: Minced for that rich flavor.
  • 60 grams (1/4 cup) unsalted butter: This is the base of your delicious sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley: Chopped for a fresh touch.
  • 50 grams (1/2 cup) grated Parmesan cheese: Adds a creamy, cheesy flavor.
  • Freshly ground black pepper: To taste, for a little kick.
  • Red pepper flakes: Optional, for those who like it spicy.
  • Salt: For the pasta water, to enhance flavor.

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Remove the casing from the Italian sausage and crumble it into small pieces.
  3. In a skillet, cook the crumbled sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through, then set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the unsalted butter over low heat, then add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic butter sauce, then mix in the cooked sausage.
  6. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add reserved pasta water until a creamy sauce forms.
  7. Stir in chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, seasoning with black pepper and red pepper flakes to taste.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with extra parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
