Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed shredded hash browns, sour cream, and cream of chicken soup. Add 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, melted butter, and chopped green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
- Ensure the hash browns are evenly coated with the creamy mixture.
- Grease a 9×13-inch (23×33 cm) baking dish with butter or cooking spray. Pour the potato mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
