Description

Frozen Mango Strawberry Margarita Pops are refreshing summer treats combining mango, strawberries, lime, and a splash of tequila in popsicle form.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups fresh lime juice (about 8 limes)
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup tequila
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur
  • 2 cups frozen mango
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 4 limes, sliced 1/4 inch thick (15 slices total)
  • Margarita or coarse salt for garnish
  • 15 Dixie or paper cups
  • 15 wooden spoons or popsicle sticks

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, mix lime juice, sweetened condensed milk, water, tequila, and orange liqueur until well combined.
  2. Pour 1/3 of the mixture into 5 Dixie cups for the first layer.
  3. Blend another 1/3 of the margarita base with frozen mango until smooth. Pour into another 5 Dixie cups.
  4. Clean the blender and blend the remaining 1/3 of the base with strawberries until smooth. Pour into the remaining 5 cups.
  5. Slice limes into 1/4 inch rounds and insert a wooden stick through the center of each slice. Place a lime slice on top of each filled cup.
  6. Freeze the cups for at least 5 hours or overnight until solid.
  7. To serve, peel or cut away the Dixie cup from each frozen pop.
  8. Sprinkle margarita salt over the tops of the pops just before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness or alcohol content to taste.
  • Use coconut milk instead of sweetened condensed milk for a dairy-free option.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit tequila and orange liqueur and replace with juice or soda.
  • Store pops in plastic wrap or a sealed container to prevent freezer burn.
  • Blend fruits thoroughly for the smoothest texture.
