- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the pie crust in a pie pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, water, lemon juice, and salt.
- Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
- Add the fresh strawberries and stir gently.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into the baked pie crust.
- Let it cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream for extra flavor.
- Use ripe strawberries for the best taste.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
