Ingredients

- Active dry yeast: 2 teaspoons (7 grams)

- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm water and sugar, then sprinkle yeast over it and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt, then add the yeast mixture and olive oil, stirring until a rough dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, divide it into 8 pieces, shape into balls, and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll each ball into a circle about 1/4 inch thick and let them sit for another 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and bake the rolled-out dough for 5-7 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, cover with a towel, and let cool slightly before serving.
